For this phase I chose to focus on Parc Rigot’s temporality and more specifically a central path of this parc called the « Allée de Maître ».
I wanted to show the role and the importance the path has played for years in the park. I asked myself questions such as, how the changes in this park are gradually affecting this path considered as « patrimoine » and what was the futur of this path going to be.
Therefore I did many research to find out that the path was gradually being consumed by the nearby infrastructure and the various project the town of Geneva has for the park.
Even though the path is considered as a patrimoine such as the « Villa Rigot », the parc positioned in a place surrounded by important political infrastructure makes it much likely to change and an analysis could be made around the impact of such infrastructures on the parc and examples could be found with the various temporary project such as the Opera des Nations in 2015 who had an impact on the soil and it’s nearby environnement and the center for refugees who just got built on the other side of the « Allée de Maître ». However the problem is starting to become more concerning with the future projects that are currently getting planed such as the new railways station and it’s new paths that are definitely going to have an impact ,positive or negative, on the « Allée de Maître », in terms of mobility or simply it’s place.
