The columns are made up of an octagonal wooden skeleton surrounded by a quartet of alternating bricks on each floor. These are supported by wooden ‘cheeses’ fitted into the skeleton and inserted between the bricks, transforming them into elements that are partly holder, partly being hold, or even play an aesthetic role in filling and combining textures.
